Coast Guard Exercises Option For Materials For Argus, 1st Offshore Patrol Cutter

The U.S. Coast Guard says it has exercised a contract option to buy long lead-time materials for the Argus, its first offshore patrol cutter.

The $41.68 million deal covers an initial order of cutter components, including propeller and steering equipment, marine diesel engines, ship integrated control system, switchboards and generators, the service said in a release on Sept. 7.
