The Indian coast guard this week conducted an anti-pollution exercise off the coast of Orissa state, reports the Indo-Asian News Service.
The drill was aimed at assessing and analyzing in real time a simulated oil spill and the pollution response capabilities of the coast guard, Paradip port authorities and oil companies, officials said.
Participating in the exercise were three vessels, the Sagar, Razia Sultana and Sarojini Naidu, as well as a helicopter.
