Clash Breaks Out On Border With Afghanistan

Iranian security forces clashed have with Taliban troops along the border with Afghanistan, reports Iran’s semi-official Mehr news agency.

On Wednesday, Taliban forces opened fire on a group of Iranian farmers in the village of Shaghalak in the western Hirmand county, reported Al Jazeera (Qatar).

The farmers were passing through an Iranian border wall to farmland in Iranian territory despite being on the other side of the barrier. The wall was built to combat smuggling in the area....
