Chinese civilian militias are being deployed to help secure China's border with North Korea, reports South Korea's Yonhap news agency, citing Chinese state media.
The Yanbian prefecture in Jilin province has established a "military-civilian defense system for better border security," reported the China Daily on Thursday. The prefecture shares a 310-mile border with North Korea.
