Afghan authorities say U.S. troops near Kandahar city opened fire on a civilian bus on Monday, killing four civilians and injuring 18 others, the Los Angeles Times reports.
Anti-American and anti-government protests quickly erupted near the site of the incident.
While U.S. authorities confirmed the incident, there are conflicting stories over details, reported the New York Times.
