A roadside bomb ripped through a crowded bus on Wednesday in southern Afghanistan's Nimroz province, killing 25 on board and injuring about 20 others, the Los Angeles Times reports.
The bus was traveling on a main road towards the capital of Kabul at the time of the blast. The bomb was planted near the border with Helmand province, said security officials.
A nearby NATO patrol helped treat the wounded, military officials said.
