Chinooks Chosen For Heavy-Lift Helicopter Program

Boeing, the U.S. aerospace firm, has been named the low bidder for a program to supply 15 multi-role heavy-lift helicopters to the Indian air force, reports the Times of India.
Boeing offered the CH-47 Chinook for the project, while Russia competed with the Mi-26 helicopter. Both aircraft successfully passed the air force's extensive field trials, said the air force.
