The U.K. Ministry of Defense has finalized a contract with Boeing for additional modernization work for Royal Air Force Chinook heavy-lift helicopters, reports Aviation Week & Space Technology.
The 150 million pound (US$224 million) deal, awarded in December but not announced at the time, builds on Project Julius. The ministry project is designed to bring its Chinook helicopter fleet to the same configuration.
