Chinese Ship Leave Shoal, Standoff Continues

China has withdrawn one of its three ships that have been engaged in a standoff with Philippine vessels in the South China Sea, Reuters reports.

A Chinese surveillance ship left the area around the disputed Scarborough Shoal on Friday, said officials from China's Embassy in Manila.

Both sides are working to resolve the standoff diplomatically, but no solution has yet been reached, said Philippine officials.
