Army Recognition reported on April 24, 2026, that China has unveiled the Superwing ZR-300, an armed electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft designed for rapid-response missions in urban areas.
The platform is intended to enhance local security forces by providing quick aerial surveillance and limited strike capability in densely populated environments. Its ability to operate from tight spaces makes it well-suited for city-based deployments.
The ZR-300 supports multiple control modes, including piloted, remote-controlled, and autonomous operation. It features modular weapon systems such as machine guns, rockets, and light missiles, allowing it to switch between reconnaissance and combat roles.
