Checkmate Fighter Unveiled At MAKS Airshow

Russia has officially revealed a new stealthy, single-engine fighter jet, reports AIN Online.

On Tuesday, Rostec and its subsidiary, United Aircraft Corp. (UAC), unveiled the lightweight Checkmate fighter jet at the MAKS 2021 show outside Moscow.

It was not immediately clear if the aircraft displayed was a mockup or a flyable prototype. Rostec says the Checkmate is ready for flight testing.
