President Hugo Chavez says Russia has issued a US$4 billion line of credit Venezuela to buy Russian-made weapons, reports Defense News.
Speaking during the celebration of the Venezuelan air force's 90th anniversary in Caracas, the president said the loan was issued during his October visit to Moscow.
Chavez said his government would buy "defensive weapons," but provided no further details.
