The Lebanon-based Hezbollah militant group is incurring a significant and growing number of casualties in the civil war in neighboring Syria, say officials cited by Foreign Policy magazine.
The group, which is supported by Iran, has been taking on more of the fighting in support of the Assad regime, increasing the risk of overextending itself and tarnishing its image of an invincible fighting force, according to U.S. and Middle Eastern officials.
