Carrier's Command Systems To Be Upgraded

The Thai navy has awarded Saab a contract to modernize command-and-control systems aboard Thailand's aircraft carrier Chakri Naruebet, reports the Swedish defense firm.
The US$27 million contract covers the installation of the 9LV Mk 4 command-and-control system, as well as data link equipment.
The data links will enable the carrier to communicate with the air force's Gripen fighters and Saab 340 Erieye airborne early warning aircraft, according to a Saab release.
