Carrier Variant Of F-35 Completes 1st Night Takeoff

The carrier variant of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter has made its first nighttime takeoff, reports the Naval Air Systems Command.
Test aircraft CF-2 took off last Wednesday from Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Md., said Navy officials.
The test pilot also evaluated the F-35C's night lighting system, said NAVAIR.
