Carrier Group Headed Back To Middle East

The French navy will soon deploy its aircraft carrier to rejoin the fight against the Islamic State in the Middle East, reports Naval News.
In the first half of 2021, the Charles De Gaulle is set to deploy to the Mediterranean Sea and Indian Ocean as part of Operation Chammal, French Armed Forces Minister Florence Parly told the National Assembly’s defense committee earlier this week.
The carrier had previously deployed in support of Operation Chammal in 2019 and 2020.
