The U.S. Air Force is opening a career field for remotely piloted aircraft (RPA) with the establishment of undergraduate RPA training in October, reports the Air Force News Service.
After successful completion of the course, RPA pilots will join the 18X military occupational specialty.
The new pilots will receive incentive pay equal to aviation career incentive pay and carry a six-year service commitment.
