A car bombing in Malta has killed an investigative journalist and blogger known for reporting on government corruption, reports the Washington Post.

On Monday, Daphne Caruana Galizia was driving from her home in Bidnija, a rural area of Malta, when her rented car exploded, according to local media.

The blast reportedly scattered debris far into surrounding fields.

No suspects have been named.

The prime minister called it "barbaric attack." Galizia had been a fierce critic...
