A suicide bomber drove his explosives-laden vehicle into a Pakistani police station Monday in the northwestern town of Lakki Marwat, the Voice of America News reports.
At least 17 people were killed and 40 wounded in the bombing, security officials said. There were as many as 50 policemen inside the building at the time.
The blast also hit a nearby van carrying school children, reported the New York Times.
