A police station in the southern Iraqi city of Basra has been hit by a suicide bombing, reports the Voice of America News.
Five people were killed and at least 15 others were wounded in the Monday attack.
According to officials, the bomber tried to drive his explosive-laden vehicle onto the grounds of a police compound. Guards shot at him when he failed to stop, and he detonated the vehicle, said police.
