A car bomb exploded Tuesday near a police station in Londonderry, Northern Ireland's second-largest city, Reuters reports.
Two armed men hijacked a taxi driver and forced him to drive the bomb to the target in the center of the city, police said.
The driver called police once he was freed, said officials. There was also a short telephone warning made just before the 3:30 a.m. explosion, said police.
