CANiK Launches Production Of Domestic 12.7-mm Machine Gun

Turkish arms manufacturer CANik has begun mass production of an indigenous 12.7-mm machine gun, reports the Daily Sabah (Istanbul).

The 12.7-mm PMT (platform machine gun) is the first weapon of its kind to be produced in Turkey, said Ismail Demir, the head of the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB) in a social media post.

The weapon is designed to be integrated with a variety of platforms, he said.
