Canberra To Export Boxer Weapon Carriers To Germany

The Australian government has reached an agreement with Germany for more than 100 Boxer 8 x 8 heavy weapon carrier vehicles. Once finalized, Rheinmetall Defence Australia would build the vehicles on its Boxer Combat Reconnaissance Vehicle production line in Queensland. The deal represents one of Australia’s largest ever defense export contracts, worth more than Aus$1 billion (US$685 million) to the Australian economy.
