Canadian Defense Minister Signs Accord For Logistics Facilities

Canada and Jamaica have taken a major step to establish a Canadian logistics hub in Jamaica, reports the Canadian Dept. of National Defense.

Canadian Defense Minister Peter MacKay formalized the accord Tuesday with Jamaican Minister of National Security Peter Bunting during a visit to Jamaica.

The memorandum of understanding sets up a framework for the development of a Canadian operational support hub in Jamaica in the near future, according to a departmental release.
