Agencies in the U.S. and Canada have agreed to support the creation of a new counterterrorism center in Russia, reports the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA).
Under the agreement, the Abramovo Counterterrorism Training Center in western Russia will be used to train personnel to protect Russian nuclear sites.
The accord covers the construction and equipping of the new facility, renovations to existing buildings and other infrastructure improvements.
