Calling Off Truce, MEND Threatens Attacks

The main rebel group in Nigeria, the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND), has called off its three-month-old unilateral cease-fire, reports the Daily Independent (Lagos).
The group threatened to carry out an "all-out onslaught" and warned oil companies in the Niger Delta to be ready for attacks on their facilities and personnel.
