C-17 Order Is Completed With Delivery Of 6th Cargo Plane

The Boeing company has delivered the sixth and final C-17 Globemaster III cargo aircraft to the United Arab Emirates air force, reports the defense firm.

The last aircraft in the order was formally delivered during a ceremony earlier this month at Boeing's facility in Long Beach, Calif.

The delivery completes a 2010 contract for the strategic airlifters. Four aircraft were delivered last year and the fifth C-17 in May.
