C-130 Transport Aircraft Face Upgrading

The South Korean air force has awarded Elbit Systems a US$62 million contract to upgrade C-130 cargo aircraft, reports the Israeli defense firm.

Seoul operations about 10 of the Hercules transports and has ordered four new-generation C-130J models.

The four-year program covers the installation of various advanced electronic systems and conversion of existing analogue cockpits to a glass cockpit with Elbit Systems digital flight displays.
