Businessman Convicted In Danish Plot, Acquitted For India Attack

A Chicago court has convicted a Chicago businessman of participating in an aborted plot to attack a Danish newspaper and aiding the Lashkar-e-Tayyiba (LeT) terror group, reports the Los Angeles Times.

However, on the more serious charge, Tahawwur Rana, 50, was acquitted Thursday of aiding a November 2008 terrorist attack by LeT in Bombay (Mumbai), India, that killed nearly 170 people.

The planned attack on the Danish paper was seen as revenge for its publishing of caricatures...
