The German military is considering accepting foreign citizens into its ranks to address ongoing personnel shortages, reports the Stars and Stripes.
The military is interested in recruiting foreign nationals to fill specific roles such as doctors and information technology specialists, although a broader enlistment campaign could be launched, Gen. Eberhard Zorn, the chief of defense, said on Dec. 27.
