Budget Squeeze Delays Defense Projects

The Nigerian Defense Ministry announced that it has been unable to complete its planned capital projects for 2008, reports the Daily Trust (Abuja).
The ministry budgeted US$136 million for 34 capital projects, including the Ojukwu bunker and a mobile clinic for the defense headquarters.
However, according to Defense Minister Fedelia Njeze, the projects had to be removed from the draft amended budget.
