Budget For F-35 Training Seen As Inadequate By Air Force

Canadian air force officials are concerned that insufficient funds have been set aside for training under the F-35 program, reports the Canadian Press.

The government earmarked about US$1.3 billion for training, simulators and other infrastructure under the proposed US$9 billion program.

However, according to internal comments noted in air force documents, that number was derived from the standard Defense Dept. estimate of 20 years of service, instead of the 36 years planned...
