Bucharest Agrees To Host Interceptors For Missile Shield

Romania has agreed to host medium-range ballistic missile defense systems as part of a U.S. missile shield, says President Traian Basescu, as cited by Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.
"Romania has been officially invited by U.S. President Barack Obama to be part of the missile-defense system," said Trasescu after a meeting of the Romanian Supreme Defense Council, the nation's top military and security authority.
"Terrestrial interceptors will be placed on Romania's territory...
