BTR-80s Sink During Amphibious Landing Exercise, Killing 4 Troops

Authorities in Kazakhstan are investigating a training accident that left four Kazakh soldiers dead, reports Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.
The soldiers drowned last Friday near the Caspian city of Aktau when four BTR-80 armored vehicles sank in rough waters during an amphibious landing exercise.
Initial findings pointed to "a poor decision when practicing an amphibious landing in the absence of landing equipment," said the Defense Ministry.
