The Brazilian Navy successfully launched its MANSUP (Míssil Antinavio Nacional de Superfície) anti-ship missile from a GREENHALGH-class frigate for the first time on September 13, marking the seventh overall launch of the missile. The frigate "Rademaker" (F49) conducted the test, following previous launches from NITEROI-class frigates and the corvette "Barroso" (V34). This launch was necessary to meet the Navy's missile qualification requirements. The MANSUP is expected to be fully developed by late 2025 and will be used to arm the upcoming TAMANDARE-class frigates, each equipped with two MBDA ITL 70A B3 launchers. This is the fourth launch from the pilot batch of ten missiles since 2022, following three prototype launches in 2018 and 2019.
