Border Service Chief Steps Down Following Killings

President Nursultan Nazarbayev has accepted the resignation of the head of the Kazakh border service, reports Trend News (Azerbaijan).

Nurzhan Myzalyev, the chief of the border service and deputy chairman of the Kazakh National Security Committee, offered to resign following the killing of more than a dozen border guards last month at the Arkankergen border post on the Chinese border.
