Border District Retaken By Afghan, NATO Forces

Afghan security forces backed by NATO troops have retaken a district near the Pakistan border that was overrun by Taliban fighters last week, Agence France-Presse reports.
NATO warplanes bombed militant positions Monday in Nuristan province's Bargi Matal district to support ground troops, said military officials.
The Afghan Defense Ministry announced Tuesday that the district was under government control.
