Bangladesh—Border With Burma Sealed As More Refugees Flee Rakhine State

The government of Bangladesh has closed its border with Burma in an effort to stop an increasing influx of refugees, reports the Press Trust of India. Bangladesh cannot accommodate the growing number of refugees, said Bangladesh Foreign Minister Abdul Momen. Violence between rebel groups and the Burmese army is forcing different ethnic groups, including Buddhists and Hindus, to flee the western Rakhine state.
