A Somali soldier has been wounded in a suicide attack in the southern Somalia town of Afgoye, reports Radio France Internationale.
On Saturday, an Al-Shabaab attacker rammed his explosive-laden vehicle into the front gate of the local government base, said security officials.
Troops shot the suicide bomber before he could gain access to the compound, forcing him to detonate early, said officials.
Several civilians were also injured in the attack, said officials.
