Officials from Scotland Yard say a parcel bomb sent from Yemen to Chicago via Philadelphia would have exploded over the U.S. East Coast if it had not been intercepted at an English airport, the New York Times reports.
The package was removed from a cargo plane at East Midlands airport in central England on Oct. 29. A second device was stopped in Dubai.
Both bombs originated from Yemen and are believed to be the work of Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula, which claimed...
