Regional security officials say a militant explosives expert has been killed in Russia's North Caucasus republic of Ingushetia, RIA Novosti reports.
The security officials announced Umar Sakalov's death on Tuesday, but gave no further details.
Sakalov is believed to have produced several explosives used during a June 4 attack near the Ingush village of Malgobek that left eight people wounded.
