National Security Adviser John Bolton has announced new conditions to the withdrawal of U.S. forces from Syria announced by President Trump last month, reports the New York Times.
U.S. forces will not leave until ISIS is completely defeated and Turkey has provided guarantees that it would not attack Kurdish forces allied with the U.S., Bolton told reporters on Sunday.
American troops will eventually depart but a rapid withdrawal is unlikely, said Bolton.
