Bogota Pardons 30 FARC Prisoners

The Colombian government says it has pardoned 30 imprisoned members of the FARC guerrilla group and will release them, reports Deutsche Welle.

President Juan Manuel Santos announced the pardons on Sunday.

The move is part of confidence-building efforts between the government and the FARC. None of these prisoners had been sentenced for major crimes, said the president's statement.
