The Naval Air Systems Command has awarded Boeing a $2.5 billion contract for maritime patrol aircraft for the U.S. Navy, Norway and the U.K., reports the Dept. of Defense.
The deal, announced on Friday, covers 10 P-8A Poseidon Lot 10 aircraft for the Navy, five for Norway and four for the U.K.
The State Dept. approved the potential sale to the U.K. in March 2016 and to Norway in December 2016.
