Boeing plans to halt risk-reduction work the Ground-Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program after the Air Force indicated that it was cutting off funding, reports Defense News.

In July, Boeing announced that it was withdrawing from the ICBM replacement competition, claiming Northrop Grumman had an unfair advantage after acquiring Orbital ATK, one of two U.S. solid-rocket motor manufacturers.
