Boeing On The Hook To Replace Boom Operator Cameras On KC-46 Tankers

The U.S. Air Force and Boeing have come to an agreement on a plan to address problems with the remote vision system (RVS) on the KC-46 Pegasus aerial tanker, reports Defense News.

The RVS has been the most significant of several problems with the KC-46.

While the sensors and cameras have proven viable in most conditions, certain lighting conditions can cause image warping, contributing to problems safely connecting the refueling boom to receiving aircraft.
