Boeing-Built Satellite Enters Air Force Service

The third Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) military satellite has entered U.S. Air Force service, reports Boeing, which builds the system.

The WGS is the Pentagon's highest-capacity satellite communications system, providing high data rate communications links to support full-motion video, email, television and other services for U.S. troops abroad.
