The United Arab Emirates and Russia are negotiating a possible deal to modernize the Emirates' fleet of BMP-3 infantry vehicles, RIA Novosti reports.
The ongoing talks in Abu Dhabi have focused on "full modernization" of the Russian-built vehicles "to seriously increase their combat capability," a Russian industry official said.
The BMP-3s in the U.A.E. were supplied by Kurganmashzavod, a machine building company based in western Siberia.
