Blinken Addresses Congolese Conflict And Human Rights In Rwanda

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken continued his tour of Africa this week with a visit to Rwanda, reported the New Times (Rwanda).

Speaking at a joint press briefing with Rwandan Minister of Foreign Affairs Vincent Biruta, Blinken said the United States supports regional mechanisms to resolve conflicts between warring groups in the neighboring Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Angola and Kenya have led mediation efforts between Kigali and Kinshasa.
