A series of apparently coordinated car bombings in Baghdad on Monday targeted well-known hotels often frequented by foreigners, reports the Los Angeles Times.
At least 36 people were killed and scores injured in the bombings, said security officials.
One bomb targeted the Sheraton in eastern Baghdad. A second explosion struck the Babylon hotel, which hosts government and political meetings.
